Here's my blog addition. After "HOURS" I finally have a good reflections and refractions !
Not please with thr frame rate, but I will work on it.
Looks cool. Did you switch over to the render manager for generating the reflections? The reflection and main scene look very consistent.
The terrain is looking very cool too, I like the detail in the distant mountains. Is it all in the geometry, or are you using high-res terrain textures?
Great work btw!
All rendering (except the skybox) is within the rendermanager. All objects are resubmitted before the call to the manager draws to a render target, as frame, which I think is the main reasn for a frame rate hit. I need to clear the rendermanager as I don't want to terrain submitted for the refraction map, hence the dilema
The geometry is providing the details in the mountains. I derive it from a grayscale image, which therefor provides me with terrain collisionheights automatically
Thanks for the comments. With reflectiosn moving alon I can now focus on lighting and artwork
cool work
when i have something plausible to show i will also post screenies
